Amber Angkor Villa Hotel & Spa

The hotel is in a great location on Wat Bo Road, walking distance to the riverside night market and old market. Staff were very attentive and helpful even at 4.30am while we were waiting for our sunrise trip to Angkor Wat. Our room was large, had a balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel is an old colonial French architecture building which has been carefully made into a hotel with a large reception, verandahs with seating and matured gardens in front and back. Tuktuks are always available from the front of the hotel to go anywhere. Overall we had a great stay over five nights.

- Good breakfast, with both Western and Asian choices. - Location walkable distance to the airport bus stop and not too far from the city centre (although not directly in it). - Nothing disturbed my sleep. - Cosy room with nice bed. - Received multiple tooth brushes etc.

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Chan Na was especially great. Another lady at the front desk was so sweet and helpful. Location was good, pool was nice, rooms were clean and current. Bathroom with large tub and modern look was very nice. Close walk to River Night Market.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in ages. Amazingly helpful staff, excellent location, a wonderful pool and great breakfast all contributed to a great time with two daughters and two grandsons.

The staff were wonderful and helped us make plans with our students to see Angkor Wat. The tour guide and driver were excellent and helped us understand much more about the sites than we would have alone. Also, they kept us on (our self-imposed & tight) schedule. I had a massage... which I highly recommend. The breakfast was good, but I wish I had realized I could have had noodles in soup or an omelet at the station just outside the breakfast room/restaurant. Then, it would have been perfect.
